Introduction
Sport
is very important for our life to avoid diseases like obesity and diabetes. There are many types of sports around the world. In each country
there is a popular game such as in Spain they like football (soccer); in
America they like American football. In this easy I will write about one of the
most successful clubs in the world which is Real Madrid. Real Madrid is a
Spanish club founded in 1902. It is called the dream team and century club. I
chose Real Madrid because I am one of the fans and I would like to know more
about this club. Many of the best players and coaches go and play for Madrid
because of popularity. The Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti is the current coach of Real
Madrid.
History of Real Madrid
The
club was founded in 1902 as the Madrid Football Club. In 1920 King Alfonso XIII
added the word real to the club which is in Spanish, royal. Also, he added the
royal crown in the emblem. Furthermore, Real Madrid is the richest football
club in the world in terms of revenue. The club has one of the biggest fan
bases in the world. Real Madrid is one of three clubs who never fall from the
top division, along with Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao. Moreover, first Spanish
football league was in 1929, Real Madrid took the lead until the last match in
the season and they lost to Athletic Bilbao which made Real Madrid end the
season behind Barcelona. Next season in 1930-1931 Real Madrid won the league
and they won again the following year. All the fans of football not only Real
Madrid and Barcelona fans remember when Real Madrid won 11-1 at Copa del
Generalísimo before they changed it to Copa del Rey in honor of General Franco.
That record was removed from FIFA because that Barcelona players were intimidated
by police.
Present of Real Madrid
Special Events of Real Madrid
There are too
many special events that happened or will happen to Real Madrid. But, here
are three of them:
(Alfredo De
Stefano) who is considered the best player in Real Madrid history. He passed
away on 7/7/2014 at the age of 88 years old. He played 11 seasons in Real
Madrid making it the best club in the world at that time. Also, he is the only
player in the history that won the Super Ballon d'Or. With Real Madrid he
won five consecutive European and one Intercontinental Cup, two Latin Cups,
eight Ligas, one Copa de España, one Pequeña Copa del Mundo and five league top
goal-scorer trophies. In addition, he won two Ballon d’Ors.
The tenth
championship league title is the best thing ever happens to a club. It means
that Real Madrid club is king of Europe. Despite that, the final match was a derby
match between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. It has a special meaning to the
president, coach, and players. In addition, the final match was taking place in
Lisbon. And, Real Madrid scored in the extra time after four minutes passed.
However, millions of fans around the world celebrated the tenth; it was like a
worldwide party.
The new Santiago
Bernabéo project. "It will be a special, unique, and spectacular
stadium" said Florentino Perez. The Santiago Bernabéu will take on a
new look over the next few years in order to become one of the world's most
impressive sports arenas, as well as an architectural marvel. Meanwhile,
Volkwin Marg, the founder and owner of GMP Architects, said: “We have had
the honour of building more than 20 stadiums, but this is the most important
project we have ever taken on. We present to you the most important stadium of
the new generation".
Important Players
There
are many important players in history of Real Madrid. To begin with the player
names I have to start with Santiago Bernabéu Yeste the player and the president.
He gives everything that he has to the club and he was the responsible for
rebuilding the club because of Spanish Civil War. From here we know why the Madrid
stadium is called Santiago Bernabéu Yeste. Then, Real Madrid put the strategy
and started to sign with the best players around the world. The most prominent of
players is Alfredo di Stéfano. Furthermore, there are many legendary players
who play for Real Madrid like Ferenc Puskás, José Santamaría and Amancio.
Real
Madrid was the first truly multinational side and till now the club follows
this strategy. When we talk about the best players in Madrid we must mention
Raul who was one of the best strikers in history. Also, Zaiden, Ronaldo, R.
Carlos and the best goalkeeper in the world Casillas play for Madrid and they
won a lot of championships.
C.
Ronaldo is now entering the history from Madrid and is one of best players
around the world in the last 4 years. He breaks a lot of record in Madrid and
can be the best player ever in the history of Real Madrid.
Achievements and Records
On
the other side, Real Madrid has also a lot of records internationally. It has
17 titles and it takes the third place as the most crowned club trophies globally. Real
Madrid has a record 10 Champions Leagues, more than any European club. Also, it
has won two UEFA Cups and UEFA Super Cups. In Intercontinental Cups Real Madrid won the title three
times
Conclusion
To
sum up, football is just a game and there is no
reason to intolerance and with the referee's whistle must end everything. Nowadays, there are a lot
of problems between players and also between fans. We heard many story about
racism which should not happen. All clubs are equal and they have to respect
each other.
